Townhall Meeting..... A brand new start.

Last Monday, attended a briefing by GCE on the new M-Plan for the Group. This is the first time a GCE of SDB briefed 500 + senior executives and management of SDB operating units and divisions. It was conducted at SDCC and attended by all DDs and all execs JG4 and above. GCE touched on many things especially from the P&L p.o.v. But the thing that interest me is some of the issues he touched which are 'little Nepoleons in SDB, SDB brandings as well as respecting GCE function and authority. He touched about working passionately for the company which I think he adopt it from Jack Welch's 4E & 1P (Energy, Energise, Edge, Execute and Passion).

After the briefing, the DDs held their own briefing. Ours, D'boss briefed the people but personally to me is not impressive. He has failed to deliver the ummph to the people and was seen as an incompetent clown. But all this while public speaking is not his forte, so I guess it's ok then.

Heard that at the briefing for SDHO, the Columbian chick briefed on behalf of the mamak keling. But a few people is very sore because she only touched about her function and the status of the ALDP. What about L&D, IR, TQM etc. But the MK has praised her for her good presentation and coordination of the whole events (as expected).
